My fellow Members of Buddhist Mediation Retreat (BMR),
This year, the COVID-19 pandemic is a raging around the world, including Singapore is not been spared from this.
Despite the challenges are facing today, this should not weaken our unity in the society. We should strengthen in our mind and bring us together to fight for our better health and future progression in complying to the ministry’s requirement – Circuit Breaker measures.
Our Society had previously planned a series of programme and events in the teaching of Buddha and Dharma practices; as well as some others events to be rolled out. Due to social and safe distance, we need to hold back in order to avoid indirect contact / possible transmission of COVID 19. We will assure this programme and events will be resumed, when Singapore will ease or suspend the CB measures.
We must understand the importance of CB measures, it is to prevent any possible of contact and transmission of virus in the public. The teaching of Buddha and Dharma practices are always in our mind and heart. It emphasises and teaches us to be passionate and unselfishness toward all living nature; as well as our mind to be strong in defeat those negative effect through mediation. It is like how the way of Buddha had mediated under the Bodhi Tree to attain the path of enlightenment.
Hereby, I urged all members to comply with the current CB measures and stitch-together to fight against the prevention of COVID 19. I look forward to see all members upon the ease or suspension of CB measures in Singapore.
I wish all BMR’s members to stay health and happy Vesak Day!
